2008 RUN Ride |
The 2008 Run ride route is
ready! We have a whole new route planned for this year! We will be
taking a one stop southern loop through the fields, trees, and lakes
of Minnesota. We will line up and leave the Crow Wing County
fairgrounds at 11am on Saturday, August 30th. We will follow an 85
mile loop that leads to one stop in Genola and back to the
fairgrounds by 3pm. Our sponsors will be ready for us with food and
beverages. For those who can't make it in time, or who prefer to
ride the open roads alone, we have 9 sponsor locations north of
Brainerd who will be catering to you all weekend long! 2 great
choices for everyone to enjoy!
We will leave the fairgounds out of the south gate at 11am.
Go south on Hwy 25 to Hwy 2.
Go east on 2 to Pine Center.
Go south on 8 to 39.
West on 39 through Pierz and into Genola.
Stop in Genola for 1 ½ hours.
We will go west out of Genola on 27.
And North on 45 to the fairgrounds by 3pm.
Message to those who assisted and enjoyed the past 5 years of our
northern loop:
The past 5 years of driving our northern route have been wonderful
for many of us. Everyone from our sponsors to the riders and the
people who sat in lawn chairs at the end of their driveway to wave
and cheer us on. Due to the heavy traffic count on Labor Day
weekend, concerned riders and law enforcement, we have chosen to
take a new and exciting ride on some less travelled roads. We know
you will love it! Thank you everyone for your support in the past
and for your continued support on our new southern loop! |
